If I Could Give YOU The Moon...

Genuine actual pieces of the Moon have been captured in the prettiest of glass teardrop vials; how many people can say they're wearing the Moon? - a special necklace for that extra special someone.

You're probably wondering 'HOW?', 'These Lunar Moon Rocks cant be from the Apollo missions in 1969, because that would not only be extremely expensive and rare but illegal to own too' right?

How could this possibly be a genuine piece of the Moon?

Well, a 10mg sample of the MoonGrind as we call it, comes to your courtesy of either the Lunar Meteorite NWA 7959 or NWA 4881, dependent on specimen availability during. These specimen were discovered on earth in 2013 and 2005 respectively. Of course not the only lunar meteorite that has fallen to earth, but one of the few that has, which we have acquired pieces of. We have a few larger specimens of Lunar Meteorite from around the world and you will have information along with authenticity certificates for the specific meteorite used in your pendant.

Tons of meteorites hit earth every day! But only less than 1% of them are Lunar Meteorites (The Moon). Hence we thought to grind it down to a small specimen and capturing it forever in a glass vial with silver plated fittings and strung from a lovely 18inch sterling silver cub chain, just so you could one day BRING THE MOON to her.

Each MoonGrind Order Includes:

  • 1No. MoonGrind Necklace
  • Approx. 10mg of Lunar Meteorite Grind
  • Teardrop Shaped Glass Vial or Tube Glass Vial
  • Attached to a beautiful 18" Sterling Silver Cub Chain
  • Presented in a High Quality Jewellery Gift Box.
  • Silver Polishing Cloth

More about the NWA7959 Meteorite Specimen

Designation: North West Africa 7959

History: Found in 2013 and purchased by Stefan Relaw, confirmed as an Achondrite, Lunar Meteorite (lunar, feldspathic breccia)

Physical characteristics: A single, broken, irregular conical stone (156g) partially covered by translucent, pale greenish fusion crust with a pale gray-brown interior.

Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Fine-grained recrystallized breccia composed of larger plagioclase grains (converted partially to maskelynite) poikilitically enclosing very small grains (mostly 30-80 microns) of low-Ca pyroxenes, olivine, Ti-chromite, ilmenite, troilite and metal.

Mineral Compositions and Geochem.: Olivine (Fa40.4-58.8, FeO/MnO = 91-100), plagioclase (An96.1-98Or<0.1), pigeonite (Fs32.0-64.5Wo9.5-13.1, FeO/ MnO = 51.1-62).

Specimens: 20g of the sample are at UWS (University of Washington). The remainder is circulating the market for various uses, following Ralew's possession.

You can research/purchase in bulk more of this particular lunar meteorite online (https://www.lpi.usra.edu/meteor/metbull.php?code=45805)

As you could imagine, out of the 156g discovered, we only posses 1.2g to date hence will use the two other lunar meteorite samples in possession once used:

  • NWA 4881 (2005)
  • NWA 8022 (2013)

It's Never Too Late To Bring Her A Piece Of The Moon!
